LatePals is built and looked after by one person, Kevin Buhl Jakobsen, and gets a little better almost every day. Here is what has happened, newest first. Found a bug or have an idea? Write to us.
— The Night Quiz
The Night Quiz: five new questions every night, the same for everyone — space, animals, Denmark, sleep, history and more. Fast answers earn bonus points, and every answer comes with a short "did you know?".
Keep a streak by playing every day: 3, 7, 14, 30 days and more give gems in LateTowers. See how your friends did today, and share your result (🟩🟩🟥🟩🟩) in your feed.
— LateCards: blackjack and Texas Hold'em with friends
LateCards: sit down at a table with friends for blackjack (up to 4 against the dealer) or Texas Hold'em (2–6 players, with computer players if your friends are asleep). Private tables with an invite link, a chip top list among friends, and free chips every day.
Only play chips: they can't be bought, sold or turned into money, and the card tables carry no ads. Every shuffle and every hidden card stays on our server until it is shown.
— Codes for the games, a weekly e-mail and calmer settings
Redeem codes: got a code from the weekly e-mail, Discord or a giveaway? Type it in and get gems, chests and eggs in LateTowers, coins in LateFarm or gold in LateClash. Codes are always free and only give things in the games.
A weekly e-mail with what you missed: unread messages and notifications, friend requests, your friends' most liked posts, birthdays coming up and sometimes a code. It only comes when there is something to tell, and one click stops it.
The settings now show one part at a time, picked from the menu at the side, with a new "Who can reach you" part. Each choice explains itself when you pick it, so nothing is long to scroll.
— Settings, and blocking
A new settings page: who can see your profile, write on your wall, message and mention you; your birthday and "up now"; which notifications you get; colours, text size and calmer animations; and a download of all your data.
Block someone from their profile: neither of you can see, reach, mention or find the other, and they are not told.
The list of new members in the sidebar is gone.
Logging in with your password on a new device now asks for a code sent to your e-mail (a text message only if you can't get your e-mail). Devices you confirm are remembered for 60 days and listed in your settings.
Choose who sees each post: friends, all members or only you, and change it later. Your default is in the settings.
Forgot your password and use your phone number? We first send a reset link to the e-mail on your account; a text message is only offered a minute later, if the e-mail doesn't come.
What you start writing in a post, on a wall or in a comment is kept as a draft in your browser until you post it, so a reload or a lost connection doesn't throw it away. Logging out removes the drafts from that device.
New members get a short welcome checklist on their feed (a picture, a few words, a first friend, a first post …) that ticks itself off as they go.
The Arcade can now be played without an account. Members still get their best scores saved and the Top 10.
No more scrollbars anywhere on the site: every page and menu still scrolls with the wheel, a finger or the keys.
Clearer help when a browser (for example Brave) blocks reminders.
— LateTowers: season bosses, a trailer and heroes that move
Every 20th level brings the season's boss (the Santa Blimp, the Giant Easter Egg, the Sun Balloon or the Great Pumpkin). It drops season rewards that buy the season's own skins.
An animated start screen and a trailer, now on the front page and in the Arcade.
Every hero was redrawn in detail, with light, shadows, hands and arms, legs and wings that move when they attack.
Two new heroes, the Snowman and the Spider, and season events: Christmas, Easter, summer and Halloween balloons and outfits.
A slower, fairer pace: many small upgrade steps and fewer gems and chests.
Notifications that work everywhere: posts on your profile wall, replies, mentions, a live bell and pop-ups.
— LateTrails, our new driving game
LateTrails: a calm off-road exploring game with smooth hills, real-looking trees and eroded gullies.
The emoji button works like on a phone, and GIF search finds what you type.
